This week we will have the privilege of watching some Genius Hour Presentations!
After these presentations, we will have two-minute website presentations. They will be great!
today we get to have each of you present your websites! please prepare by placing chairs in the center of the room to make an audience. i will ask for volunteers who would like to present first. :)
please continue your surveys. you will be asked to present a 2-minute presentation in front of the class next Thursday to share your websites and your survey results! This will help practice for your genius hour presentation. :)
Your next task is to create a survey.
These are the basics:
1. Create a minimum of 5 survey questions (but do not use yes/no questions)
2. Survey a minimum of 25 people
3. Record your results in a table (Samuel is an expert at this)
4. Create a graph to represent your survey results (Samuel is an expert at this)
5. Write a 2-paragraph article to summarize your survey findings. (Aleina is an expert at this)
today u r going to be put into new groups. each person will need three sticky notes. u will visit the website of each person in your group. on one side of the sticky note you will tell them what is working well for them. on the other side of the sticky note you will give them an "I wonder what would happen if...". Make sure u sign your name on the sticky note.
when you finish in your group you will make sure to read the sticky notes that were for you. this should spark a conversation in your group and help you with ideas.
Review feedback from last week. What did you learn? What do you intend to do to improve your site? What are you doing well?
today we will be taking notes from a helpful video on how to create a weebly website. please write the following on a chart (see below):
What I Wonder What I Learned Still Wonder
As you watch the video, please fill out the "What I Learned" and "Still Wonder". We will place the "Still Wonder" questions on sticky notes and place them on the front board. Then, as others read and know the answer to your wonder, they will find you and demonstrate their expertise.
today is the day the rough draft of your first article will be due. once it has been approved by me you will edit and revise (grammarly isn't ready for us yet). then u will determine a username and a password and begin working on exploring your own website creation in class.
today we will continue working on your first article ("About the Author" or "About the Topic"). Be certain to write your rough draft first and have it checked by me. Then you will type it and run through Grammarly before being approved for your final draft. After you have completed your final draft, I will set up your username and password for your site. woot woot!
