Today's Task List: 1. DLP (daily language practice) and correct in class 1. Quick-Write: Stay tuned 2. Finish Wordly Wise Lesson 1: This is our first lesson in this curriculum. You will be tested on these vocabulary words this week on thursday 3. Watch the video on writing an argumentative paragraph (use button below). As you watch, take notes. The following should be in your journal: Date: Focus: Writing an argument to support claims with reasons and evidence Prompt: Watch the video and listen for the 7 important parts of an argumentative paragraph. List those in your journal. Then brainstorm three topics that you feel very strongly about to possibly use as your first argumentative paragraph topic. Feel free to discuss with your peers and the class to generate ideas. Be certain to finish this prompt before class on Thur. Homework: WW: Finish and be ready to test on Thur.
